ok, i just finished painting my tail lights flat black and i will post some pics after i get out of school. i was wondering, the paint i used is suppose to be strong against water and what not...do u guys think it would look good if i sanded my spoiler and spray painted it flat black? i want to do this but if it doesn't come out good i am goin to be  also i used the same type of paint on my grill and it has lasted a long time and the paint is not chipping or running or anything...if i use that paint on some interior pieces such as the peice around the shifter and radio and a/c-heat...i would paint that white, i ithnk it would look pretty cool, i just want someone elses opinion. let me know thanks

If your feeling cheap and don't feel like buying bumper inserts and want them, you can also paint thoes. Used the same Krylon Fusion as I did on my tails, just put some tape over the lettering, gently cut it out with a razor blade, then used newspaper and taped off the whole rear of the car so no overspray would get on it and painted away. The picture I posted on your other thread has my lettering blacked out too.

i am goin to try that 1105...but on a day when i have some more time. also i think i am just goin to take a chance on painting my interior peieces white. my car is white. i am goin to start with one of the vents and see how that comes out.

do i have to do any sanding? how long did it last?

I'm not shure on the spoiler. It would be the mach 1 style with the black spoiler but I have never seen a black spoiler on a sn-95 except for a black car. You could try to find someone with a black car and swap the spoilers and see what it looks like and it is ok then paint yours black.

make sure before you paint the plastic pieces inside that they are free of ALL residue. if there is armor all residue or such it will make the paint look horrible. get some 3M cleaner or paint thinner and clean them off really good, let that dry and do it again. then paint away. i would do at least 2 coats to make sure it covers good.

Didnt do any sanding. Mine was only on for ~3 months before I got my car painted. Oink has had his that way for a really long time.

Got a qoute at maaco yesterday for the center of my hood, spoiler and taillight bezels painted black and clearcoat and they want $400, you think it would be cheaper with a flat black, and no clear coat?

You should get a clear coat put on. Thats what protects the base coat from the sun and other elements. But yes, it would be cheaper if you got a flat black and no clear coat.
