Would I be able to set my camber myself?

Ok, I installed my MM C/C plates a few weeks ago. I was out of town at my grandfathers doing it and we went fishing the next morning. So I got my uncle to bring it to get aligned for me. He couldnt get the camber right. The plates maxed out. I e-mailed the guys at MM (who were very helpful btw) and they said I need to swap the two top plates. The ones for camber. And from looking at them, I can see why. The slots are not centered on the strut, so by swapping them I would get more adjustment.

My question. Would I be able to set the camber myself by putting a level on the wheel? I already forked over $80 for the first alignment cause the guy did the rear too  (Do you even HAVE to align the rear of a car with a solid axle? I cant see how you would adjust it?)
So is it possible? If not Ill talk to the guys at the tire shop I work by and see if they can do it for $20 since I only need the camber set. The caster and toe in are fine.
Thanks.

Does the shop have a policy where they will realign it for free for X amount of time after your first alignment? Some places are like that.

You should be able to set camber fine by yourself - a straight edge, level and a little trig are all that is needed (and how I do mine).

That said, if you have access to real equipment (by your particular shop) and can have the camber and toe touched up for 20 bucks or refreshments, I'd do that.

Good luck.
