Would leaking injector throw a code.....

I noticed that lately I have a strong gas smell when I havent done anything ot the pressure so I had a friend turn the car on today and noticed that when it hits ACC and the pump primes and the fuel rail fills I can hear a sort of pissing sound from either the 3 or 4 injector. No fuel is coming from any visible place. I also noticed that after turning the car off there is a dripping sound that slowly stops coming from the engine but nothing is dripping to the ground. Would a bad injector throw a code? I am not getting a CE light or anything.

I too would also like to know the side-effects from leaking injectors since just today i got my car back from the shop for a tuneup and was told i have two leaking injectors. Hope to hear some feedback.

I had an injector stuck open once and I didnt get any codes... Just abunch of smoke outta my exhaust when I floored it... Then ran out of gas at a stop light 50 feet from a gas station

If you have an injector sticking open or leaking somewhere, using a fuel pressure gauge once you've turned off the engine and check to see how long the pressure is maintained for. It should stay up at your fuel pressure rating for at least half an hour.
