Would these Rims work on my 01GT?

Yes, they will fit unless you have a gigantic brake upgrade or something.

I believe those rims are 16". If thats the case, they might even clear the bigger cobra brakes. But so long as your 01 Gt have stock brakes, you should have no problem running them as Mossberg stated.

So long as those tires have some life in them, they are a good deal. They wont look the best on a new edge mustang, but will do fine as spare wheels for winter times. You can find 99-00 GT rims for around $200 without tires. You may want to consider hunting a set of those down if the looks will concern you any.

My main concern is the cost of 17 inch winter tires is much more then 16 inch. I am not too worried about looks in the winter time. I live in Edmonton Alberta so I absolutely need winter tires. Thanks for the replies guys.
