Would tou run this clutch/flywheel

I took this out of my parts car. The kid I got it from had just changed the clutch. It is brand new but I see hot spots on the flywheel and pressure plate. Would you guys run this or no?

In my personal car, yes. If I were trying to sell it for parts, yes, with disclosure.

In all reality, there are millions of cars on the road functioning perfectly fine with clutches that would look much worse than that if torn down for inspection.

It's possible that you will get some chatter. Did you drive it before the teardown? Any chatter? If not, it should be fine.

Not really. Just moved it about 50 feet.

I would run it
I would also scuff up the flywheel some with a scotch brite pad

Scuff the plate a little on both sides and send it.

I cleaned it with brake cleaner and scuffed it up. It looks fine now and I will use it. Thanks for the advice guys.

I'd use it too. You did the right thing. Good cleaning and scuff up.
