I'm looking at a sub/amp combo that would cost $500 from crutchfield.

On ebay I can get the sub and amp brand new and spend around $300.

What would yall do?

I buy all my stereo stuff off ebay. Just make sure the seller has a good rep.

Exactly, if it's a good seller, you're probably never gonna get ripped off, however with ebay there's always shipping involved so there's always a very slight chance of receiving damaged goods, which is what the 1.50$ insurance is for

I'm a super buyer on ebay, dont sell, but buy like crazy. I got springs for my car for half price, high-end brand too. Oh and so many other things, do not be afraid of ebay!!!! Just be a smart ebayer, read through their guides and you'll be good to go.

I love ebay. I've just never bought stereo equipment off of it. Its just a little scary b/c its electronics. I know if something goes wrong with crutchfield, I'll be able to get everything fixed. Ebay is a little different but I think I'll go for it.

Definitely. I wouldn't buy used equipment though.
