I have read on here that if you run a little bit of auto trans fluid or some brake fluid through your intake while the car is running it will clean out some of the carbon in the intake and the heads.
I used brake clean to clean out my throttle body and that worked great. Is your intake going to be off on on the car when you clean it out? Have you thought about that sea foam? stuff. I'm not really sure what it does exactly or what it cleans so you might want to check that stuff out.
