I have an 02 auto gt vert. It's white in color with the tan leather interior, tan top, bullet wheels, mach one chin spoiler, grille delete, and black out stickers similar to the mach 1, on the hood and hood scoop. It has approx. 35600 miles on it. I do have an extended 100 thousand mile warranty on it as well. I love this car but the tan interior is not my all time favorite. I have made several mistakes with this car such as refinancing it, extending the terms out, etc. etc. and yes I am UPSDIE down in it.

That said, I have a chance to trade it on a brand new 04 black gt auto vert. This car has a black top, interior updgrade package with dark charcoal grey leather, and bullet wheels. The terms will be about 6 more months then what I have left to pay now but the payment will only go up about $70.00 or so. Yes, I will be in an upside down situation again however, it won't be any worse then the one I am in with my current car. Also the interest rate on the new one is a lot lower and again this car is brand new, warranty, etc.

I am only interested in an auto vert, (Yeah guys I know but I guess I'm getting old and lazy). There won't be a new vert until 06 and I don't think I can wait that long.

So would you? Or should I just keep what I have? Also any opinions on going from my white vert to the black one? What do you think looks better, etc.

Just trying to throw my options around as my G/F is getting intirely sick of the whole I want a new car thing.

Thanks ahead of time,

David.

Where can I get the million mile warrenty? I'd actually wait and go with the new stangs. I'm upside down, too, but since they're priced about the same you'd be getting more car. It's gonna be tough to keep me outta the dealership this fall...

Hi, I think white is a little boring on such an aggressive car as a Mustang GT. The black is awesome, and looks great when clean. Also harder to maintain the clean look, and shows EVERY scratch and blemish! Still, black is a nice color on the GT!

I wouldnt do the trade. You are getting virtually the same car but without the mods you listed and putting yourself in deeper hole. With the warranty you have I would just hold out untill 06. Truthfully if I were you I would trade it on a mach, It's not a vert but I doubt you would be dissapointed.

Bad idea. New cars are always great and it's understandable that you have grown bored with the one you have... But 'only' 6 more months and 'only' $70 more per month is not something I would just brush off.

Pay off your current car, that's the best advice I can give.

I would keep the current car and pay the loan down. You are just going to put yourself into deeper debt by buying a brand new car. In 2 years or so, you can sell or trade your current Mustang in for a brand new one. By then, you will not be upside down in it anymore. And you will be able to use the equity on your current Mustang as a downpayment for a newer Mustang. That's what I would do. Just have patience and hold off for 2 years. You will feel a whole lot better if you do this.

I agree with these guys , keep what you have . Why put yourself in a deaper hole? And the white looks nice by the way especially with the hood stripe i almost ordered a white one before i ordered mine.

dont do it, you'll be hung like a fruit bat! If your upside down you had better buy a used car so you don't add the automatic depreciation of buying a new car on top of what your already upside down on.

If your itching for a new stang why not look at an 03 mach. Otherwise I would just stick with what ou got. If you get a new one our gonna put yourself in a hole trying to modify.

$70 a month over a 5 year loan is $4200 + the extra 6 months is $420. Thats a pretty big hit in a two year old car. Plus your current warranty is plenty long so that shouldnt be an issue with the 100K warranty. I would keep the one you have.
