well i took off at the light maxed first gears then second as soon i maxed out second the motor got stuck at 6k rpms i had my foot of the gas pedal i quickly threw the car in netural and turned it off i waited about a second the tryed to turn it back on but it did not start then again i tried to start it would not turn on, on the third try it just started right up what can be the cause of this problem???? :(

Return spring popped off or got stuck on something. It happened to me. Car was bouncing off the rev limiter. I limped it home but the next day I was running on 7 cylinders. After about a day of trouble shooting I found a broken valve spring. Make sure the spring is hooked up or it will happen again.

as said, make sure the butterfly did not get stuck or that the throttle linkage did not hang up. if you were at WOT, that would be where i start. good luck.

This is why its important to keep youre engine clean.

Keeping road grime and deposits off the engine and the moving parts prevents things like sticking throttle and premature accessory failure.

also if your spark plugs wires are too long (ie FMS:nonono:) they could also get caught up with the throttle linkage and cause it to stick open. happen to me once in traffic but thankfully it was only at 2k rpms and not higher
