I've been around Stangnet for quite some time. I don't post much these days because of the lack of interest in the northwest forum anymore. People still have their stangs. People still have their friends. But like most civilizations, they migrated once their surroundings ran out of food.

It is what it is.

You guys on the "other" site are really that infatuated with what happens in the NW section here, that you have to talk about it there, too? Lame.

Apparently, you guys have never heard of linkbacks, I take it? Just because you can't see them doesn't mean I can't.

Dude, leave it alone. With this post alone, you are just fueling the issue. Don't get sucked in. Being a moderator, it's best to remain impartial and above any moaning and groaning.

Oh we can see them Its not so much an infatuation, more of a we told ya so. But hey, i can see the NW sections popularity here is BOOMING so why are ya concerned with a lil no name site talking bout ya.

Hey lance its stang nation .com , just put it all together b/c if ya dont it looks like this ***********.com. < "other" site.

Does that image say 171,169 visits since March 08? Wow, let me bow down in awe of that impressive amount of traffic. That's about a day to day and a half's worth of traffic here and you guys have only taken a year and a half to accomplish it!

Truth be told, I don't have a problem with that site. What I do have a problem with is some of its members coming over here spamming it, whining, and acting like their **** doesn't stink. The site itself isn't half bad from what I saw when I viewed it before. I personally think it's great that you guys have a community that works for you and allows you to chat on a more personal level than a large national forum. Congratulations, but it's not the best thing since sliced bread. Neither is StangNet, Corral, AFM, SVTP, or any of the other big boards. Each of them have their place, but none are going to take over another. If the unhappy members here feel the need to leave because they found a site that better suits their needs, there will be others that come down the road to fill their place.

Yes we have a mere 703 members, whats the point of boasting 150,000 members when that doesnt reflect active users. We can have 500,000 members but if 20 use the board its kinda silly.

It was never about a us vs. them until silly things like ***********.com happened and the ban stick went flying around. Theres more to it but in reality the mustang community is by far the best car community in the world, and ive never seen so much dissent for other stang sites as SNet. So if we randomly throw a lil back whats the biggie right.

We should be doing be furthering the community, not people who dont like it.

Stangnet is a great site, dont get me wrong. We just disagree on some things.

I haven't been around for 5+ years, but I've been around. I still check in from time to time also, but I'm mainly surfing tech. I'll be posting up an ad in the classifieds here pretty soon to see how much of a waste of time it is since I won't really want to bother with shipping. I just bought an 86 gt 5 speed parts car. Good stock runner just not very pretty at all. Gonna use it to turn the 7-up into a 5 speed. but I'll have some body parts and a good runnin 302 for sale when I'm done. Maybe some seats if I can get the mold out.

And, I thought the moderators job was to make sure this site doesn't become offensive or just a bunch of spam posts. Not to say "We're better than them, so we can do whatever we want and you just need to shut your mouth." My brother started one of the largest gaming forums and helped design several others, he revokes mod's who go on power trips. A Mod's job is to make sure a forum is worth going to. If people are worried about getting banned or the owners don't listen to their customers then a website will fall, big or small.

I still pop in from time to time. Though I don't have my Mustang anymore and I don't know when I will get another one, I still come here to see what's new with everyone else. The scene has definitely changed over the last couple years. Starbuck's in Beaverton might be dead, but a few of us on here that have left the Mustang scene still meet up at Sonic in Hillsboro and the DQ in Aloha on Friday nights. Come on out and say hi!

It is so sad and so true what the last few posters have had to say. The community has changed, both rules and roles redefined and arrogance abounds. One thing remains true, I still have the right, the choice and dangit the THRILL of owning my mustang and enjoying the crap out of the others who enjoy what I do. To the beginning of the end....

this is almost looking like good ole stangnet when some of the "older" guys and gals where here.I think someone from up north PM me the link to stang nation? (you know who you are) went there and it was cool but not S/N or corral. i guess once your use to something you stay with it? well atleast i do. good to see everyone come out of the dark and start posting! to bad it took this to do so.mo one can come on here to post whats up and plans are or any projects.if they do and very few have it's in the other sections peace
