dude, i actually thought you wrecked it, not someone smacked you in the rear. get a V6 bumper and fill it in. they are everywhere in the junk yards.

Hmm....Anybody wanna photoshop out the mustang gt on the bumper? http://www.mustangaddiction.com/images/latest/web/5-4-06 005.jpg

My opinion on the Cobra stuff is that it's ok as long as the car has the power to back it up. I hate it when I see stock GT's with Cobra symbols and stickers and such all over them.

Im still debating what to do, but I think I might just fix the V-6 bumper I allready have and paint it myself. I got two estimates so far, one for $1278(new bumper) and one for $870ish(used bumper). I still have about 60-75% left out of the pint of Laser Red I bought a couple weeks ago, so all I'll need is some clearcoat.

my opinion on the cobra stuff is that its your car. ALTHOUGH: there is a guy in the 2005+ forums with a V6 doing a... SHELBY GT500 CONVERSION, and by conversion, i mean ONLY the visual stuff. now that is not right, i dont care what your take on it is.

I agree completely about the cobra thing.

But in my own case i think ill go with a 6 banger bumper, or keep the stocker.. I havent made this decision myself yet.... Its a toughy thats for sure. Let us know what u decide

I agree with above about this thread name scareing me!!! Im glad its just the rear bumper and no one got hurt.

I'm sick and tired of bitches rear ending our cars. It has happened to me already. Damnit women cannot ****ing drive, I don't care if that sounds sexist.

I believe it was 50resto.com that i saw them in, but there are rear bumpers available with no lettering...Might be worth checking out if you are going that way.

i've never met a SINGLE woman that can drive worth anything, much less a crap.

Mike, I'm sorry to hear/see this bud. You have one of my favorite SN95's period.

I'm going to go against the grain a little. I would not do a stock bumper at all for your ride - there's more aftermarket than stock parts on your car and it deserves something more IMHO. And I hate putting a stock piece back on in a situation like that - you want to change it up. If that means having it say Cobra, fine. Or if there's some other option...... (I dont know aftermarket or aesthetic parts out there at all).

Remember, it's gonna look awesome no matter what you choose to do. Best of luck with it!

The only aftermarket rear bumper I kind of like is this one,

But then I would have to put tailpipes on, which I was planning on doing one of these days....

Yeah that really bothers me. Like some of you guys have said, I cannot ride with a girl and feel as though I don't have to be paying attention to make sure she doesn't do something stupid. I really like how they think they can speed as much as they want and they are invincible. Or how slamming on your brakes everytime you slow down is the proper way to do it.

Sorry bout the car. Thats really sucks. I agree with the rear bumper saying nothing.

If I were you i'd go either with a plain bumper or one that just says Mustang (for the cobra look).

for a quick Temp repair...
heat the bumper up with a heatgun or hairdryer and pull the indent out... that way at least it looks better,,,
