1992 Mustang GT, 5 Speed

I ordered a pair of Universal joints from 50resto.com, and since they are ALL the same from 79-93 I should have no problems when the mechanic goes to reinstall the newly ordered parts from 50resto.

But my mechanic calls me to say that they don't fit. Huh?

I ran over to Auto Zone bought two more and when compared they were the same size as the ones that came off the driveshaft.

What do you think is the deal?

The Autozone parts fit, the 50resto parts realy should have too.

No big deal, just kind of hard to explain.

By the way 50resto handled the situation with the best of care like they always do. I am being mailed a free Return label, so it worked out great on that end.

Just one of those little kinks you have to deal with I guess.

Actually..................1979-85 used 1310's for both manual and auto.......1986-93 used the 1310 for the auto, and the 1330 for the manual. The Ford aluminum driveshaft uses 1330's, also.
