I had the gears installed in my car a while back and the ABS sensors were damaged in the process. So the rear passenger side abs sensor is off, it was actually left off after the gears were installed. There is a hold in the sensor that looks like a bolt is supposed to go through. There is no bolt though. Can someone tell me what kind of bolt/screw this is?
Also on the driver's side I am having no luck getting the sensor out. It appears as though the screw is holding it in place but I see now head of the screw (broken off?). I can see the back of the screw from outside but on the inside it's just a hole. I tried punching out the sensor but it won't even budge. I then tried prying it from the inside and part of the sensor snapped off along with the wire, but the main part is still in the hole. I tried drilling it out like I read on Corral but the bit keeps on sliding off the metal core.
Also I tried putting in the new sensor on the passenger side and it's a really tight fit. It won't even go in more than 1 mm. I'm not sure if I'm doing this right, but the shield and all that stuff is still supposed to be on the car right? There's not much room to work there.
