So right now i have 87 spindles and all that with 73mm calipers. I went to put the calipers on and relized they use a banjo bolt set up. The stock set up dosnt even have the same size of threads.
What the hell do i need, I was not under the impresion that i needed new lines, but i guess i do. What can do i need to get this done??
This is terrible, It is sunday so everything is closd and i am supossed to be at the track at 7 in the morning.
please help.

I guess you do.

87+ do not need new lines or banjo bolts when doing the 73mm upgrade.

There were a lot of changed between 86 and 87 to the braking system so i wouldn't doubt that you'll need 87+ lines and banjo bolts

What exactly won't fit?

You went from the 86 setup directly to the 87 with 73mm calipers?

If the brake lines are the same then you need new banjo bolts.

Yes i am going from an 86 setup to 87 with 73mm's
My lines on the car now do not have banjo bolts, they just thread in.
The 73mm calipers have banjo bolts and the stright end from the line is to big to even thread in the hole.
I asked for 87 up brake lines and they were the same as the ones i have now.

make sure you specify for a 5.0 my concern would be that you have 86 brake lines which are exactly the same as the 4 pot lines.

Yes that is true. 86 brakes are the same as 87+ 2.3L Mustangs.

When 2.3 guys upgrade to 5.0 brakes they also need to upgrade brake lines.

Junkyard? Good luck finding a 5.0...but 87+ t-bird and Mark 7 front brake lines may work
