My father in-law has a 64.5 mustang with a 289 and a 3 speed. I want to get him stuff to upgrade his ignition, any reccomendations on what to get and the best place to get it. I have an 02' GT so I don't know where the good places are for classic parts-

That really depends on your budget.

You could get him a pertronix electronic ignition coversion kit for approx $70

Or you could get him a full on capacitive discharge system with all the bells and whistles for about $700

Not going the 700$ route, maybe the pertronix and cap/rotor/wires/plugs? Whats a good brand for the cap,rotor, and wires? Accel?
