i installed a x pipe last night. its nice, other then the exhaust leak from the PASSENGER side.
i used the one flat metal gasket, but there was a thicker oval shaped one. i bought a bbk one. on the stock h pipe, there was a space for the thicker oval one to go, and the bbk is smooth. i dont really think i need it, but im gonna take my starter off for the 3rd time, and if i do need it, then id like to know before i make it any tighter.
the stock flat metal gasket is bran new, as it had a bran new factory h pipe on it, i found that out from the pervious owner, as, he is one of my best friends dad.
please read a few times, cause even with me being the author of this, i have a hard time understanding it.
i used one of the two gaskets.
i used the flat one with the bolt holes threw it.
do i need the thicker gasket dounut thing that sits between the manifold and pipe also?
any and all help is appreciated. and yes i did do a search, but nothing talking about this other gasket.

I suggest you take out that gasket and put in the thicker one that you are talking about. I bought a thick one from Ford and it worked great.
