X-pipe fit an AUTO???

I have a BBK X pipe on mine. No problems there.

some companies do make different ones for a 5 speed or an auto. you might want to make sure that they dont offer one for either or.

I have a BBK Off-Road X pipe on mine. I didn't have any problems either

As much as I love Pypes Violator muffs, **DO NOT** BUY THE PYPES X-PIPE!

The lack of tranny crossmember hangers causes the rear-end of the X-pipe to sag constantly, especially on cat'ed X-pipes. I have (or rather, I had) a UPR cat'ed X-pipe with the exact same design as that of the Pypes X, and not only did I have the sagging issue constantly, but the cats were welded about an inch or two too far back, so that I had to cut a notch out of the tranny crossmember just to make them fit up in there without banging against it all of the time.

FWIW, a couple of folks have had issues with the fitment of the Pypes cat-back, as well. There's a thread about it in 5.0 Tech recently, I believe.

Myself, I had good luck with just buying the Pypes Violator muffs, alone, and swapping out the Super Turbo muffs from my Dynomax cat-back - their tails are stainless and bent/cut in such a way that they don't have ANY fitment issues, really. Although, I did buy the early form of the Violators when the first were exhibited at the WFC vendor area, $80 a pair, and they were 2" longer than the current ones - I wound up having to cut 1" off my tailpipe and 1" off my flowtubes to make things fit together right, but it came out well enough. (Driver's side tailpipe is still about 1" too long, but at least things are level and don't knock/rub on anything.)

Darkwriter is correct. I have a upr w/o hangers and it sags terribly. Can't get down a dirt driveway w/o scraping and don't even think about speed bumps. Never had a problem with any combo and a 5 speed but with the autos you have the most problem clearing the shifter linkage while in D or 1.

UPR off road x.... i had to bend the pipe in a tiny bit... hit the shifter lever thing down there... Nothing major like restricting flow... I guess thats why it's a 139 bucks... but now i have a t5... so just to let u know

Did u actually heat the pipe and bend it or just take a bfh to it to clear the linkage. I don't drive my car more that 5 miles a week if that since the new motor isn't done but have been thinking about either dinging the pipe or look for a way to bend to clear the linkage to get it sucked up where it doesn't drag or look like I can't install chit correctly (looks so bad now its actually kinda embarrasing)

heated the pipe up with a welder (almost glowing)... and big channel locks and squeezed it... doesnt look too bad...

I have this one, no problems.

Did you just have to do it by the shifter linkage or up the pipe a bit (not under my car and trying to think how close it is for how far up.
