Well got back under the car today and there is no way I can get the header bolts off. I give up so I'm bringing into the garage and haveing my mechanic get the header bolts out. Wish I had a lift.

You need four things to get them off. 1) a set of ramps 2) several extensions, swivels, and PB blaster 3) A full case of Beer 4) LOTS OF PATIENCE But seriously I have done this at least 10 times already and if they are frozen use the pb blaster and let is soak in for at least 30 min. During that time consume at least 3 beers makes the project go easier.

My dad's 3 feet breaker bar did the trick.. it was hell though

I had to get a socket at sears to get mine out. You need a mid size socket. A regular is too short, and a long socket is too big. The mid works great.

Lift? U dont need a lift get four jackstands lift that thing up nice and high and swap it out. No big deal...Good luck though

WTH? It took almost as much time getting my car jacked up as it did to change my H-pipe the first time to my Mac o/r H. 15 minutes tops. The second time when I installed my UPR X, it took a little longer because I changed the studs. Maybe it helped that I changed mine out at 800 miles and about 3000 miles.

All you really need to get the header bolts off is a Snap On High Torque Impact gun. It made the job much easier.

Jackstands, WD40, swivels and about 10 minutes. Stock H was off.
