X-Pipe installed, now issues

ok well i pulled the codes

P0155 - o2 Heater Circuit (Bank2 Sensor1)

P1151 - Lack of H02S21 Switches - Sensor indicates Lean (See P2197)

but i decided i should RTFM (Read The Fawking Manual) and i have do turn everything in the OBDII menu to off (well, except for EGR) thats related to the downstream o2's. I just had the option labeled OBDII MIL turned on.

well see how she does tomorrow.

I seem to run extremely rich with my pipe. My xcal2 will be here this weekend so hopefully i'll be able to fix that.

I am currently using a vin locked (to someone elses car) superchips micro tuner to just read/clear the DTCs, though it comes back after a day or two. Am I going to have this problem with the xcal?

With the xcal, you can completely disable the downstream O2 sensors. That way, it won't read any data into the computer, won't throw any codes, and then you can tune your car's air/fuel ratio as you see fit.

EDIT: Why not just spend the extra $$ and get the LiveWire? I will be getting one someday when they are finally available!

are you running a catless midpipe? how do you know its rich, other than how much more exhaust you smell?

the downstream o2's serve no purpose in fuel delivery or how the ecu changes its parameters, they are 100% for OBDII emissions purposes and just there to check if the catalytics are in place and working or not.

BTW, my SES has not returned during the entire drive to work thismorning, just goes to show sometimes reading the manual helps.

Well my current pipe actually does have cats, though it's a custom pipe that I got for a few dollars so I guess I shouldn't whine about it much.

As for buying the livewire, I'm getting a xcal2 + mac pipe and another item for $180. Can't pass that up :nice:

umm i have mil elims on my ride and i do have catless bassani o/r x-pipe never had a prob. but i herd that the comp. still receives signals from the o2 sensors w/ the elims on or hooked up and the reason for the mils is that there suppost to be resistors and the comp. reads the signals from the rear o2 sensors at like .5 a volt less than the fronts making the comp. think that the car is runnin perfect but your code po155 sounds like a bad o2 sensor on the pass. side front sensor if it were your rear or downstream sensors the code explination should read somethin like catalyst insufficiency bank 1 and 2 sensors 2

i dont know, but i went through and did all the necessary changes to the tune diablo recommended to do when using a catless midpipe to eradicate the CEL and ive put 30 miles on it and it hasnt popped up, as compared to getting around the corner and it popping up before the tune change.

and yes, the in-line MIL's are supposed to still allow a signal to the ecu, if they didnt, it would be the same as just disconnecting the rear o2's and it would pull a "Rear o2 Sensors Non-Existent" code anyways.
