X-pipe question-smog pump

I was wonder if anyone experienced the same thing I am. More so when I am under acceleration there is a exhaust leak type sound coming from, I think, the x-pipe. I can hear it slightly when at idle or reving the engine in neutral. Where the smog pump tube connects to the x-pipe there is no clamp on it. If there is no clamp can there be an exhaust leak? Is there supposed to be a clamp of some sort on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Noise is very bothersome.

There is supposed to be a clamp on the smog pump to X pipe. Last time I checked, the clamp was $9. I went to Home Depot and bought some threaded rod and bar stock to make a mini U bolt clamp like the muffler uses. The cost was less than $3 for all the parts.

I just crimped the end of the end of the pipe the smog tube was supposed to hook to .
