X Pipe Questions

Better flow over OEM while still having some help in the smog compliance arena.

If you don't have inspections, go for off-road, if you want a setup with plenty of volume.

I've not owned Magnaflow or SLP, but have heard good comments about both.

If you can do a non-catted X it will be much cheaper. If you have to have cats for legal reasons, I would think about a nice catback instead if I were you but I am cheap...

If you get an SLP O/R X, you can buy the cats for it off of ebay pretty cheap. they normally go for $100 each from SLP, and the catted version is about $100-$150 more than the off-raod X. thats one advantage of SLP, you can swap cats and off-road pipes.

Adding a nice X to your CB will improve your exhaust tone, throttle response, and you would gain a few HP. Its easy to see why when looking at the factory piece. 6 cats and bend after bend after bend.....not freeflowing at all. I personally like the sound of a catted x better than the o/r. Most of the systems ive heard w/ the o/r pipe are to raspy and poppy....IMO...
