Xcal 2..One Word:WOW..bu tneed help.

today i went to a SCT dealer and bought a Xcal 2. Guy hooked it up to his computer and asked what Mods i have. I told him and he punches away. I but it (379) and he walks me to my car and shows me how to use it.

Man this thing wakes up an auto! my car shifted sooo nicely. I felt the jerks from the 1-2 and esp. the 2-3. Felt as if i was driving a 5 spd.

Right now i have it set up with the tune he put in it real quick, any recommendations? i tried to plug it in when i got home but it said stuff about timing, spark, and all this other stuff i dont know anything about. I started to tinker but i was like "oh crap i dont wanna mess it up" so i put the stock tune back on then put the performance tune the guy made.

any help would be greatly appreciated

You need a transmission cooler ASAP.

woke up my auto as well....go to http://www.sctflash.comand check out the forums....lot of knowledge there and the sct employees are regularly on there to answer your questions

i am about to buy the same tuner. i have a manual so i won't get to play with the auto stuff. at somepoint i am going to go wideband ( i already have access to a wideband commander) with the pro racer package. all that is a ways down the road.

if you start bumping up the auto settings without a cooler you're going to be treading on dangerous ground.

yeh. get the cooler. they arent very expensive. i like to datalog with mine. there is a wealth of information you can keep tabs on.

I am having my gears and clutch put in this week...I HOPE.

I have been tossed up about which tuner to get but I will probably get a sct. I can't wait.

Will it be noticable with a 5 speed?

The best way to max out your mods with the X2 is on a dyno where you can make changes and maintain a safe A/F. May be costly, but worth it in the end.

yeah i got extra loot from my tax return so i might buy a tranny cooler tomorrow.

is it simple to install? i have basic knowledge with working on cars (changing oil, tires, basic bolt ons) is it easy?
