my fan clutch went out so i kept getting too hot the last few days.
well my friend gave me an elec fan of his in return i help him do a rearend swap soon. i will help him i so got the fan!

i didnt do a good job on the wiring, and i have my overflow jug held on with zipties, it works great and cools nicely. When i do my motor swap i will redo the wiring and make it nice, i got some other wiring issues to deal with later on anyway.

it cleans up under the hood i think

Heh, my overflow bottle has been held on with zip ties since I put in my electric fan too.

Keep an eye on your volt gage. My elec fan was a big drain and I had to upgrade to 140 amp alt. On my wifes LX I was able to keep the stock alt when I went elec but I used a DCControls fan controller. I don't have electrical (charging) problems with either car, but had to spend eextra money on both.

I agree about it looking a bit small, not sure in miami duing mid summer i'd want that fan on my car. Use it to get by for now, but i'd plan on using something with a shroud like the lincoln or sn95, so it pulls air through the whole radiator, not just the center.

dont really know yet, it was wet outside and storming, so i couldnt test it, but it kinda feels smoother, revs up a lil quicker.

also it s kinda of small. i bet i could fit 2 of em on the car. might have to do it.

lol, looks like you are right.

Foxfan, using 2 sounds better. But if the cost of another is that much, just get the lincoln or sn95, they are around $100 on ebay.

i got my taurus 3.8L v6 fan from a 93 taurus for $50 at the junkyard - works well w/ my DCC

i bought a proform for $110 not the greatest fan. But it cools my car like a champ. I have it on a switch so i decide when to put it on. You dont need it unless your in traffic or cruising around with a lot of stops. My car cools just fine with out a fan running. When i get in traffic i just flick it on and the car stays perfectly cool.

yea i might get something better later on but this will work for now.
its a lil small, and runs a bit warmer around town, on the highway its fine, the air cools it, but this lil sucker keeps the car from overheating like it was.

got to get on it today, i think it may have helped some, when you get higher up in the RPMs, say 3500-4000 its got more pull to it kinda, feels stronger.

Do you turn it off on the highway? Most cars that originally have electric fans turn off at 45 mph.

The only place your going to notice...if at all would be in the upper RPM's. What your going to notice for sure is that stock alternator won't like the fan for long, especially if your running pullies.
