I don't care for it too much. With a mesh insert, it may look better, but open, I think it looks like a mail slot on a door.

it sucks (I know) to be on the receiving end

AbsoF'inlutely. I'd open it up and smooth it out ala Mach 1 style and leave it open. Looks awesome. It actually took me a few seconds to realize what you were talking about..which shows that it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

Looks ok with the pony emblem, without it, it's too empty.

And for the love of god, don't use a billet grill.

That's true, it is subtle. It actually took me til post 13 to figure out what was going on.

I think it looks good, and adds some symmetry to the front with the opening on the ground effects......

lol/ now everyone likes the grille...???!!!! after all the bashing i had to take..
man it looks sweet! makes your car stand out even more!!! add black backing to hide the imperfections with a large horse emblem..... and THUMBS UP...thats what im doing... i just have to figure out how to cut the plastic bumper without messing it up or ruining its structure so it does not warps or change shape really easy??? anybody<??

I like it but I would be worried about the radiator being so exposed. It definitely gives the car a tougher look up front. With a nice aluminum radiator behind it I think it'll look pretty good. Again though, it will be vulnerable (edit: I see that you already have plans of not leaving it exposed). And yeah, in the name of all things Holy: no billet grill.

Quite a few guys have done it with great results...

I don't like the running pony as I dont like ANY form of badge. The one I have on there now is actually a BLACK oval, not blue .

Interesting the split here.

I don';t like it.

A personal peeve of mine is when SN95 guys take their pony's off and run an open grill. To me that looks like someone stole their pony.

Here, i kinda get the same idea...like something is missing.

I think I have a problem here.

I LOVE IT!!! I think it looks awesome! But I dont like the pony. It just needs to be open, and it flows with the saleen bumper really well.

The car just looks incomplete with nothing but the mesh. Putting a small pony in the center would look really sweet however IMO.

What about the Cobra grille with out the pony? Then you could paint it first, and if it doesn't match, then repaint it or whatever.
