New to site,and first stang

I like your engine bay. Looks clean and organized. Nice shade of red
Thanks.the guy I got it from took really good care of it.He got it in 09 from the original owner with 3k miles.I plan on keeping it the way as I'm quite meticulous myself.I have the Dyno sheet on the car,it's like 335 at the wheels. It goes pretty good.

Newbe from Holland

The 289 makes sense in an early '68, but I've never seen a '68 without the side markers.
Back then Ford, and I'm sure others did too, used up the parts in the factory inventory coupled with late updates, ie: I found one 289 head and one 302 head one an original equipped 289 ci 68 mustang convertible.

2006 GT rebuild

I finally rolled it in the shop and put it up on the lift . I should be able to do the tranny swap in a week or so.
It is very clean on the under side ,for some reason he painted the front k member red ...yuk! Atleast billy bob didnt paint it john deer green !
He put a bit of money in it it looks like brakes on all 4 wheels ,kyb rear shocks and kyb front struts .control arms are new and so are the tie rod ends ...he left the grease zerks out ! New sway bar end links ,and all new coils so i figure there is probably new spark plugs as well.
He said it had a clank in the rear end ,i think i found that problem

Engine Foxbody idle/throttle issues

If you have an exhaust leak between the exhaust header flange and the H-Pipe flange then it will cause inconsistent readings with the O2's. Trying to locate an intake leak with the exhaust leak up that close to the motor is pretty hard so focus on the exhaust leak. You can spray a little carb cleaner around where you think the intake leak is and if the rpm's jump up then you have a leak.

You have to set the timing or you are just throwing another variable at the EEC. It only has 12.5% +/- correction total so everything that gets out of whack starts chewing up that correction ability.

Have you cleaned the MAF sensor?

Interchangeable seats

Hello I'm new and haven't a clue about Mustangs but I have my deceased son's 2012 Grabber Blue Mustang that I'm trying to fix up in his memory. It was vandalized before he was murdered so the Inside needs fixed up and they took the orginal seats out of it. My question is would a 2013 seat of seats that came out of a convertible fit in his 2012 Coupe?

Wheels-Tires Quad shock quandry

Looking for input here:

I like the look of the gold mesh SVE wheels from LMR, so when they finally came back in stock, I bought them. However, in my mobile site ordering frenzy to buy them, I didn't read closely that I had added the staggered setup to my cart (17x9 rear, 17x8 front). My car is largely original and stock and I'm trying to keep it as close as I can. I finally got my car from storage and did a test fit and it's obvious there will be clearance issues. LMR is being finicky about doing an exchange for 17x8's and I'm sure that part of the reason is the wheels are no longer in stock and it took nearly a year for them to come back into stock last time.

So after searching here, these are my options:
- Run without quad shocks which seems about 50/50 on the difference it makes.
-Get the OEM style quad shock, which is thinner than the ones I have on there. Or removing the dust shield from the current quad.
- Get new control arms, eliminating the need for a quad shock (according to LMR, which would like to sell me more parts.)

I'm not entirely opposed to the last option, since doing the work required to replace the control arms would allow me to replace the 30 year old rear springs and associated bushings, which are in OK shape since the car only has 72k on it but still old. And of course, I could just do all the work and replace those bushings.

This car is a cruiser, I'm looking to keep at as close to original as possible, but I do enjoy driving it "spiritedly" on occasion. If upgraded control arms make it better, I'm fine with the upgrade.

Kids, make sure you read closely before clicking buy!
Flip the quad shocks. That’ll give you a little more room.

Engine Coolant leak from throttle body

It's leaking coolant right? It may be cracked, unhook the coolant lines from the spacer, blow the coolant out, spray brake clean into one nipple, a fair amount, look through the throttle body to see any wetness inside.
Make sure care is taken blowing out the coolant and blow it out again after you check for cracks and gasket misalignment.
DISCLAIMER: the procedure described may not be OSHA approved.
Yes coolant. I will try this procedure. Maybe it is cracked. I bought both the tb and egr spacer used off eBay. Just sucks I had zero issues with the BBK setup, just wanted to put the car back to stock.
