Detroit Area Mustang guys

Ok just got to the track with the new rear end. Seems no different than the stocker. Although now I think my clutch might be slipping.

It shouldn't feel any different, it's just A LOT stronger now.

I'm suprised your stock axle held up as long as it did launching on the Rev limiter with Et Streets. :hail2: What can I say..we build the strongest axles in the Business! :nice:

Well I finally got my Cat-Back Friday, now I just have to find the time to install it. I ended up getting a Flowmaster American Thunder 2.5" kit.

I also picked up an FRPP axle girdle and 3 quarts of Royal Purple and some RP tranny fluid. Gonna be busy over shutdown.

BTW I'm also now part of the 1% of Mustang owners who are Wingless! :nice:

Took some before and after pictures, just havn't downloaded them yet. :D The Spoiler Delete look is what I like to call "Sex On Wheels"

Havn't filled and painted the holes yet, but I talked to my uncle the past week and we're going to take care of it over shutdown.

Anyone heard from Mossberg? I wonder if he's melting down in Hotlanta? :rlaugh:  :owned: :D

A jason we need to get together so i can see the mustang,

Sounds good to me, I'm usually out on Friday and Saturday nights.. you know where our usual cruising grounds are around Telegraph. What have you been up to? I basically traded 100 hp for some shinier paint and chrome wheels :p

On another note... is anyone looking to buy some Mickey Thompson ET Drags? They're 26x10x15 mounted on 10 holes. Only have 3 passes at Milan. I don't need them anymore with the new stang. Lemme know.

We need to find a new place to hang out guys. 50s McDonalds kicks everyone out of their lot now at 11 o'clock. The Dearborn Heights cops are forcing McDonalds to institute this policy. :nonono:

:chair:It was about 100 degrees last Thursday.:owned: The stang felt like a 4 banger in all that heat.:nonono: But, it beat's the hell out being a resident of The Mistake by the Lake.

I still lurk here even though I'm now an ATLien. I'm on MPH forums a lot more now it seems though. It's about time you woke your exhaust up.:rlaugh: Video clips ASAP:D

:nonono: F--- that heat!

 Don't bust my ballz.

How long did you have you gears waiting for the install?
That's what I thought Beiotch! :owned: :D  :rlaugh:

As you may have noticed, my Sig line has changed quite a bit. Not only is the "MACH" spoiler gone, but so is the Bullit fuel door. Just didn't looke right on there IMO without the spoiler on the white car.

Why you bringin' up old chit!?! :rlaugh:

I guess my chrome Saleen wheels have taken the place of the gears on my list of chit I buy but take forever to install. My damn wheels are still in Cleveland. My suspension hasn't even been ordered yet.:bang:

Don't feel bad, my exhaust is still sitting up in the rafters of my garage awaiting install. I PLAN on getting it installed next week. Along with filling and painting the holes in my deck lid and painting the Bullitt side scoops which I'm going to order after I post this! :D

So it seems I'm not the only one to leave Detroit lately. Looks like Ben Wallace has joined me.:(

July 3rd will be a dark day in Detroit sports history. Ben left, Stevie Y left, and the Tigers lost.:nonono:

To bring some sentimental cheer, I bring you.........

....Barry Sanders clips. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RaogaQ-KdU

Stevie Y didn't leave....:chair: he had plenty of chances to get traded long ago when they were the Detroit Dead Things!

Ben hauled a ss for the $, but you can't hardly blame him. It's not about the sport it's a business and it's all about the money.

Barry....we still miss you and wonder what could have been! :nonono:

Get that catback installed yet? Do you like the sound?

Yes and Yes. Matter of fact, just got back from getting the pipes welded. Just in time for Milan tomorrow. :D  Sounds similar to yours, but it's hard to say. I'd love to do a side by side with our set ups.

I tell you one thing for sure, You GOTTA get yourself a FULL Cat-back and get rid of those puney factory pipes. The i.d. of those things is pathetic. and even the claimed 2.25 o.d is questionable. If all goes well tomorrow, I'm hoping freeing up the exhaust will be good for 2-3ths.

The only thing I didn't like was the fit of the drivers side pipe. It was a bieotch to get lined up. Kept on hitting the frame rail. Once I got it to a shop and got it up in the air it was A LOT easier to align. Passenger side was like Butter.

Also changed my axle fluid (Royal Purple) and installed a FRPP Axle girdle. Pics coming soon! :nice:

Get your wheels mounted yet? :D

Still have to order my springs, shocks/strut combo. Then I'll order tires. I hate the stock ride height with aftermarket wheels (and factory wheels). I fly up to Cleveland today to get my wheels and the rest of my chit from my garage. I still may order a full catback and give my factory catback to my little cousin who has a sixer. Glad you enjoy the new roar. Drone FTW!!!

I don't notice any drone? Now that you don't live where the raods are **** you'll be able to get rid of the 4x4 Mustang.:nice:

Dude, I wish I would have know you were going to be up this way. I would have brought you the Black spoiler and Bullitt Gas cap. :D

Speaking of Bullitt.........I'm in between coats of primer on my Bullitt side scoops while I'm typing this. I've got to get the ready for paint so I can get the factory ones off the and get them ready to ship out to someone on here who bought them. I should have them ready for paint by tomorrow afternoon, then my unlce said he need them for 2-3 days for color and clear. Then I'll get started on filling the deck lid holes and paint.

Supposedly Milan is going to host an NMRA event next year.

I don't know why the'd want to. That track sucks a$$ and can lick my ballz. I'm done wasting my time and money running my car there. Best time I ran yesterday was a pathetic 14.10@96. :nonono: :notnice: I wasn't the only one who ran for **** though. Dale had issues too and ran a best of 12.12@??? and that was on his first pass. He ran 12.3s all day after that. He should be runn 11.8's all day long after the mods he added to it. Last year his car ran consistent 12.teens and 12.2's Track prep there is non existent unless the IHRA is there running the show themselves for a Event.

/Rant

Almost became Stangless on the way home. Did a 540 on the m-14 I-275 interchange.

M/T DR's + rain =  :jaw: Almost $hat my pants.:nonono: :nono: :notnice:
Thank God the people behind me saw it coming otherwise I would have got T-boned.

After that I got back on 275. Took the 6 mile exit, then took 6 mile to Telegraph, then Tele. to 12 mile. 12 mile across to Stephensen HWY. to my wifes work before I went to the Tiger game.

Hey guys,

Finally got the Mach 1 to the dyno for a baseline before the mods start. I will post up my graph as soon as I get the file. But 293 RWHP and 313 RWTQ was the results, I must say Mach 1's are beasts :). Now time for the exhaust!!!
