HAHAHAHA I was waiting for something like this to come out. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw Air Ride's setup- forget the bags and throw some coil overs on it. Apparently at least with bags it rides pretty well.. the design is sound enough.
As far as clearance... I would go with only about 1" more maybe inboard because it still uses the stock location for the spring mounting plates.

You gain a little clearance, though not much like he said it uses stock mounting points, I ditched my air ride because of it.

Eh, parts are good parts are bad.
Basically looks like a marginally improved 4 link off of a 79-04 Mustang. If you've driven a fox or an SN95 mustang in anger you know what a mess that is.
basically you're going to run into issues with the upper links binding. a panhard will help a lot, but it's hard to make that problem go away. if you don't drive hard (ie-autocross or open track) then you'll probably never notice the difference.

The main intention is to have an improved suspension over the leaf springs, along with the ability to increase tire width for traction. The car will not be driven to great extremes seing how it is mostly a show/touring car. If I can get it to handle as well as my 03 Mach, I will be very happy.

The car today has Cal-tracks on it. The bar for the Cal-Tracks are in the same location as the bar would be for the lower control arm. Using this as a reference, I should be able to increase the tire width by about 2 inches before I have an interference with the lower control arm. Using these same measurements, it looks like I will have to move the rear wheel house over about 1 inch at the top and about 1.5 inch in the front for the additional clearance. I should safely be able to increase the wheel width to 9.5 inches and possibly 10 inch. Tire width maximum appears to be about a 305 keeping it completely under the car and in the wheel house after the mini tub. Obviously I will have to go to a custom back spacing, but that is not a concern as if I go this route, I will narrow the rear axle at least 1 inch on both sides from stock.

One of my suppliers just designed a setup very very similar to this one. It requires a little welding. Complete, adjustable coilovers, replaces shocks and leaf springs. I am not advertising here, but my supplier is currently installing this setup on a 65 mustang in Cali. They dont know what tire size they are going to be able to stuff under there yet, but I can let you know if you are willing to wait.

It seems like they reply to all of my emails except the one regarding the tire/wheel combo on a 65/66 mustang with their setup. Maybe they have not gotten that far yet. Regardless...I will be ordering one of their setups eventually.
