Met the girl of my dreams today

So she's not givin' it up easy. That actually is a good thing.

For those of you who are going :bang: let me explain it in very simplistic (if somewhat sick) terms:
"It's easier for somebody to fit in at Burger King if they don't have 'unlearn' bad habits from McDonalds"

BDT: Dude; the the ice pack will (eventually) be worth it. Trust me. :nice:
And, if (ahhh, let's have faith and say when :D ) the time ever comes to throw the ice pack away, you might as well throw away the spurs too; 'cause you've just been saddle-broke. Translation for the redneck-challenged: "You will have just become 'settled down' and not need to chase tail, 'cause tail has just caught you"

EDIT: To prove my point: Just as I hitting the ENTER key to upload this; my wife of 23 yers asked me when I was coming to bed.
Told her I wasn't really tired yet. She said she wasn't either. I asked her for just five more minutes.
I'm at 4 minutes, 40 seconds; so, uh seeya!

Hope you had a good night SD.... those are my favorite. Funny since last night went something like this: "Car, you gonna go to sleep?'' ''Nah, not tired'' ''Me either'' .... laptop gets shut..... :nice:

Oh and yea, for people who know me for a long time, my nickname is Car and has been since I was a small small child...

Good luck with everything. She won't be able to resist soon enough.

SD,

I have been married for 15 years and with my wife since I was 15 and she was 14. And we still have those nights. But for us it's usually I am already in bed 3 quarters of the way to lala land when she comes in and uh starts things shall we say. I love those nights.

Forgot to say thanks to carlo, that recipe for the “Gravy” was amazing. We loved it, followed the instructions to a tee and it was wonderful. Also we ended up getting a white zinfandel wine, we loved that also. We polished off the entire bottle that night, and we got another for this weekend, we almost finished it but we fell asleep. This Wednesday is our one month anniversary, kinda thinking we should do something special. (Any ideas) She also wants to introduce me to her family, little nervous about that idea but I think I will be fine. They are pretty excited about meeting me, from what I hear. I don’t get to see her again till Wednesday, but on the bright side it will give me a chance to catch up with my friends.

I already made her mom cry. Heather was having a bad day so i surprised her at work with some flowers and took her out for lunch. When her mom found out she said "Thats sooo sweet" and went to tears. The little sister just said, hes only trying to get in your pants.

Score one for the little sister, that's funny... :rlaugh:

I'm sure that you know what you're doing with the parents, just be as respectful as you have been, no worries there, all the faith.

Don't throw out that ice pack, I think with this much waiting, you'll be needing it and a handful of pain relievers the day after when the times do come. :D
Better than an ice pack, get yourself a bag of frozen peas, you can mold it to conform, they can be re-frozen for re-use AND when all else is said and done, you an cook 'em up as a side dish!

Good suggestion, stanger. Excellent to keep on hand for sports-related and other such, uh, injuries. However, BDT, if you take this advice, PLEASE do not invite me to dinner when you cook them up!

Never did the "frozen peas" thing; even back in the old HS Cross-Country days....

Now, Green Giant cut sweet corn, in the 28 ounce bag, was (and still is) a Primo wrap for when the right knee would/does start aching and swelling. :nice: :nice: :nice:

Yes, yes, yes, I know..... the smaller bags work well for "smaller" aches and pains. At least I'm told; no personal experiences there :p

I made good use of the frozen peas when I got my "V" done. They worked great to reduce the swelling. I can see the frozen corn having the same effect too. Now days I keep several actual ice packs in the freezer. They work for almost all sports injuries or pinched fingers from working on the car and "Owies" the toddlers get .
