I posted this same topic on another board, but Im just looking for as many opinnions I can.
Well I guess ill start from the beginning. I was on my way to work in my S/C GT. Im not sure if the mods really matter but Ill go over them. In a nutshell I have a Novi 1000 kit with all the essentials pump, tuned, injectors, MAF. And so forth. Im also running the accufab tb and plenuim, bbk headers and the magna flow catback.
Well I had to drive the stang a few weeks ago in some seriously cold weather do to my winter vehicle being broke. Well Its 5 in the morning and Im on my way to work. It couldnt of been more than 10 degrees outside.
Well I make it 10 min from my house and notice the smell of coolant. I immedietly pull over at the gas station and check it out. The coolant was over flowing from the coolant resevoir. I didnt think much of it and didnt think it was bad because it stopped shortly after.. Now I can also tell you the coolant was not mixed for cold weather ( I had about 70+% water and the rest antifreeze.) So unless I was hearing things it didnt sound like it was flowing right.. Well I decided to continue to drive to work. The coolant gauge never went higher than normal, if anything it was slightly under normal operating temps.
So 10 min later im on the free way when she starts to run rough and developes an odd engine sound. I decide to slow down and pull over. The car than dies... Well she doesnt want to start.. Eventually I get her started back up. And continue to drive to the next gas station to get antifreeze to see if it fixes the problem. Well shes running rough and barely chugging there.
So i get to the gas station.. Check the oil and its empty.. ( So i thought) So i buy 4 quarts of oil and dump it in and add new coolant. I decide the best thing to do is drive back home.. Well I get 2 miles away and she dies. At this point I figured screw it Im getting it towed home.. So I get it towed. Come to find out there is oil all over the side of my engine and under the car and all over the back of my car.
A couple days pass and I decide to look at it. I figured I for sure broke the block or something. So I drained the oil... good GOD!! I have ten quarts in this thing! Come to find out it was never empty on oil.. There was no signs of any metal in the pan which was some relief. I have no idea why it didnt show or I didnt see it on the dipstick at the gas station.
So after that is done I put the oil in a clear jug to check for coolant.. There was none. However I than decided to pull the plugs and crank it over.. Oh boy! Coolant went flying out of the heads.
A friend and I than decided to run a compression check.. The battery was tired but we managed to get only 30 PSi out of one cylinder the number 2 from the passenger side.. we than checked the drivers side and got 0 psi.. We didnt check every cylinder but from the ones we did we knew we had a problem.
Any ideas of what could be wrong here? Did I blow both head gaskets? The motor when i did have it running was fine at idle, no knock or noise of any kind.
Thanks for the help and sorry for the lengthy and confusing story~
