I know that a couple of you have the Mass-Flo system (66HertzClone & StreetGrande69). Anyone else?

What are your thoughts on the system?

How easy/hard was the install and wiring?

Would you buy it again?

I'm really interested in this system verses the Edelbrock system.

Here's a link for anyone that is unfamiliar with the system - http://www.mass-floefi.com/

Thanks,
Tim

I am very happy with the system, it was easy to install and everything worked the first time I turned the key, no "check engine" light. I would do it again in a heartbeat, Chris from MassFlo was very helpful when I had a question or a concern.

I am in the middle of giving it a wire diet. The harness is long as you can see from the photos. I looped it around the mounting plate and it worked well enough, until I wanted to have a little welding done. Getting to the main disconnect is virtually impossible with it installed as I did. I have made a new bracket and will mount the ECM unit on the bottom of it instead of above it as I did the first time around. I have also ordered a new connector and terminals for the ECM end of the harness. I intend to cut the wires to a shorter neater length under the dash, I'll plug the new connector in the mounted ECM, stretch the harness out and snip off one wire at a time leaving some still in the old connector. This will give me a guide as to which hole the shorter wire and pin will go into.

I am in the process of adding electric windows and keyless entry, I have managed to fit all of the relay blocks, fuse, block, etc, on the ECM bracket above the ECM. I have almost completed this fabrication of this plate and hopefully will over the weekend. I have used nutserts for attaching all of these parts in place, no more 10x32 nuts and washers to drop anymore. I have also used two 1/4 x 20 nutserts and installed studs to support the plate where it mounts to the firewall. A strap will attach to the lowest bolt of the right side wiper pivot and will then attach to the ECM bracket to support the other end. This support is a strap instead of being an extension of the plate, it will allow access to the relays and fuses mounted there.

I'll do my best to take a photo or two today of it and post them so you can see what I'm trying to explain.

66Hertzclone,
As far as the wiring harness goes, did they work in the alternator? I like the Mass-flo setup, but they don't have too many specifics about options for the harness on their page. Ford Fuel Injection has a few add on options for their harnesses (a/c, alternator upgrade, etc. http://rjminjectiontech.com/?p=3 ) and I was wondering if Mass Flo offers the same.

IIRC mass flo sources their harness from the ford fuel injection guy so you should be able to order the extra harnesses from him, not sure if there is a lot of extra wiring that will need to be done or not though.

The MassFlo harness did have a small gauge wire that was labeled "Alternator". I did not use it, but I did convert to a single wire 100amp internal regulator. If you have any specific questions just give them a call, Chris was very helpful when I was considering making the purchase, he was just as helpful after I made the purchase.

I did finish the bracket today, however I didn't have enough time to take and post photos. I will do that tomorrow.

I don't know if you have ever looked here, but many here are using the MassFlo kits. http://www.ffcobra.com/
