Went to the track tonight...

hmmmm that close to sea level and that looks like a pretty good rpm to shift. thats weird i only dynoed 232rwhp and am close to you in the 1/8th traps with 3.73s. o well i guess you could even try and different track as well.

Yea, I guess so. State capitol is having a test n tune next Friday. I hear they have a well prepped track. Who knows:shrug:

As Spock would say illogical for 6000 RPM! With your 315-35-17rear tires a 4.10 and 4 th gear at 5700 is 106.26 MPH, 5800 is 108.12 MPH, 5900 is 110.MPH, 6000 is 111.85 MPH. Now if you are coming through the 1/4 mile at 5700 your MPH make sense since it is an average at the end of the 1/4. That also means you are down on HP. Are you able to do any data logging during your runs?

Cant data log, but it is hard to tell exactly what rpm I am at when I go through the traps. The tach is never very accurate, and the calculated numbers based on the tire, gear and measured mph are probably more accurate.

See middle finger.

Not sure if you are joking or not, but try to understand that every other question I get from this, or any thread I start, has usually already been answered. So to make it easier on myself and all of you, I thought I would put all the answers in the top post. I realize that you all are taking your time to read these things and help me; I appreciate this and humbled. I do not, however, appreciate comments such as this. If you don’t like the way I communicate in my thread, then just don’t answer it.

Careful...I see a problem coming if you don't tone it down.

Ricky...shifting can make all the diff in the world. Your peak is around 5500 so shifting at 5800 would be best. A shift light would do the trick. I had runs that were all within a tenth of a second but my traps ranged from 98mph to 103. I still haven't had any good runs since to get a feel for where I should shift but you can see where trap times and speeds can vary. I still have some ET to gain with my best trap speed so more practice is needed. Same goes for you.

Oh...get some DR's...they are good for at least 2 tenths. PM me next time you go and we can meet up at the track. Our car club (see sig) gets together and goes quite often.

Thanks, I think my main issue is the driver, its obvious, the dyno graph shows the hp is there, I just need to practice putting it down! Geaux Tigers! :nice:
