i just wanted to thank those of you that tried to help me with the body work issues i have. long story short i went ahead and bought the car. she seems mostly strong but i have another problem, hopefully you all can help. upon starting the car(93 gt 5.0)...after a few minutes it begins to throw a lot of smoke from the pipes. white smoke, so obviously oil. i inspected the engine bay and all signs of an oil leak, there was nothing. then i looked at the areas around the BBK headers, all were dry except the one closest to the firewall on the drivers side. this one has noticable traces of oil and also smokes from this area. also during driving the burnt fumes are getting inside the car and by the time i get out i smell horrible. i'm thinking piston rings or maybe valve cover gaskets..not sure. i was just wondering if you all can help.

Is it coming from the tail pipes you mean? If this is the case white smoke is antifreeze. Blue smoke is oil. Black smoke is rich running condition. I would look at the EGR coolant lines they are notorious for leaking and could be causing the problem you are describing if the smoke isn't coming out of the tailpipes but from under the hood.

Does the "smoke" go away after driving it for a while? It's normal for quite a bit of condensation (steam) to come out the tailpipes while the car is warming up for a few minutes, especially if it's a cold day out.

The other possibility like rollinhard said is you're burning antifreeze, possibly from a head gasket. Check your oil for signs of coolant, and your coolant for signs of oil. If a head gasket is blown just between the cylinder and coolant passage though, you may not have any oil/coolant contamination.
