these squeeks make me cry

it sounds like i have 2 birds in my trunk yapping away at each other. one it seems to be only during accel or over bumps, its a squeeking/vibrating noise. the other im leaning towards a suspension (control arm-ish) squeek because its only when i hit bumps. the 2nd one i will try and narrow down when i get it up on a lift at work, but the first one sounds like its definitely inside the vehicle.

any particular areas i should be looking at? MACH 460 amp racks? seat mounts?

Its just mustangs!!! Every time I add a mod to my car, somethin else makes a noise. I would check the Mach 460's.

Mine's the upper control arm bushing, on the body side. It's the most annoying noise ever. Just douche everything down under there with some white lithium grease.

I think I've got this one!!!! OK put your back seats down and lay down while someone drives your car and listen for the noise. If your like me, nobody drives my car, so have someone else listen while you drive. Anyways, there are these little metal tabs around the part where the inside wheel wells meets the metal that holds up your back seat. Sorry about the description, I'm no mechanic. Take a screwdriver and bend those tabs away/back a little bit until you find the one that is squeaking. I think they were supposed to be welded better or something but they rub together as your car moves and makes a bad squeak noise.
A couple of years ago I was tracking down a squeak noise and I replaced all kinds of stuff in the rear end until someone on one of the forums helped me out with the bending tabs advise. Try this before you buy anything. Unless your looking for an excuse to upgrade your rear suspension. Worked for me.

You guys are all wrong. He needs to remove those two parakeets stuck in his trunk. What kind of sick person leaves those poor little guys in their car? If the noise doesn't go away then, well, it proves you are driving a Mustang not a Town Car. I had a friend that ripped apart his whole dash to find a squeak. He never found it. My license plate rattles, my hood scoop wants to fly off at speeds over 100, I hit one speed bump and the bumper falls off. Again, you are driving a Mustang.

That doesn't mean it shouldn't be annoying. Thank you VERY much 03GT, the tab bending trick helped a TON for me. Having noises like that really affect how you feel about your car, and how you drive it. It's almost like "The nicer you treat me, the nicer I'll treat you." Now I have to get creative and find a way to make my Mac catback not rattle against the pretend frame rail in the back.

When you figure out the Mac catback thing PM me so I don't miss it and we'll call it even. I've been working on that for prolly a year now, off and on. I have little wooden blocks in the rubber hangers, I have had them welded and adjusted at at least 3 different muffler shops...... on and on. I'm ready to have a shop fab up a custom exhaust and just use the muff's from the MAC cat back.

There is a brake cable under on the drivers side just under the rear seat (under the car). There is a rubber grommet holding the cable in. Check to see if thats whats making the noise?

Same thing i have been to all kinds of shops to try and get rid of the rattle from my cat-back . I was thinking of having it welded or go to a custom shop and have the whole thing fabbed the right way.
