doesn't even look like it'd fit
BTW, without going into the specifics, the rebuild was done really well - got a free new reworked valve body in the deal too.

Oh, and CAR LIFT FTW

The auto takes ALOT. The converter alone is gonna hold a few quarts. Plus theres the pan and thats another couple quarts. So yes, it does take alot. Not sure if it will take all you have there, but a good bit of it.

Yeah, when we unbolted it - the pan dumped out about 3-4 quarts. Ima put in about a quart maybe 1.5 in the TC then slide it on, the pump should fill it up once i start it. I think the TC alone will hold 3- 4 quarts. So i guess ya that makes sence, 4 and 4 leaves 5 (i have 13)for the actual moving parts:shrug:

Awesome! :D That your buddies lift, or yours, or what? I really, really want a lift...I think that might be my next big purchase...or a shortblock...whatever I have so much going in right no most people will doubt my sanity. :nice:

unfortunately no, it's my GF's Dad's lift who is kind enough to let me use it pretty much whenever i work on my car. It's a two story garage, with the top being a playroom that is level w/ the house and the bottom being two huge roll up bay doors that lead into a garage the sq. footage of my house. He has all kinds of dirt bikes, dual sports, and a couple street bikes and a harley + a boat and a golf cart for fun. I love this place:D He let me just leave my car on the rack after the AODE was out this past week while my tranny was getting pimped:flag:

that TC looks heavy duty, is 3200 Stall safe for D&D?

Well actually the smaller the better usually, the top end is 10.5" which is big by most standards. But this was hand built by Spec-Rite who builds for auto alcohol class track cars and they have a pretty good rep in Nor. Cal. so im happy. By D&D do you mean daily driver? 3200 stall should be fine, a lot of people on this forum say either 3600+ or go home, gotta love the modular

Kickass! Big garages are so much fun, my Dads last garage was 1500sqft of pure car tearing apart goodness :D My dad needs a new garage door at his new place...rollup sounds like a good idea...then I'll fork over the money for the lift :nice:

yeah, i'd recommend buying a used on at some huge parts lot or something. Honestly if it worx who cares if it's from 1984, hydraulics are hydraulics. Just make sure it has safety locks that work as it lifts.

Could you list what was done to your Tranny?
Im pretty sure this is it more or less

B&M external supercooler
3200 stall Spec-Rite 10.5" torque converter
13 quarts of Mobil synthetic ATF
Hard input shaft
Hard intermediate shaft
Mechanical diode kit
Gasket and Seal Kit
Metal Clad Seals (steel boost valve and sleeve)
Ring Kit
Stage II shift kit
Performance Clutches
Performance Kolene Steels
Torrington thrust bearing kit
OD servo piston
New 1-2 accumulator spring and upper/lower piston housing
New 2-3 accumulator spring/piston
New standard oil pan and filter
New shifting linkage and actuator
New speed sensor
Additional external tranny cooler line filer

im proly leaving out a bunch of standard stuff

got it in today, love the stall. The car moves a lil slower at idle and takes a tiny bit more gas to get going but you get used to it after to rides. Also the 1-2 shift is much more solid and earlier now which is great - cuz it was whining out way past my powerband. Also it shifts into 4 later which is good since now my exhaust wont bogg from shifting into 4th early at low rpm's now.
