HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA

I thought twice about posting this, but I feel that this needs to be said. As a member of the NW Mustang community, i.e., Stangnet, Mustang Wranglers and Unlimiteds, we all know someone in the business related to Mustangs, hang out with fellow Stangers at shows and the track and other events as well, why do we need all the high school drama?

I don't get on Stangnet a lot and don't know a lot of people by their sign name, but when I do, I see a lot of negativity in posts directed towards others in the community.

I'm talking about all the s*%t talking that goes on about local businesses, dealerships, mechanics, other brands of cars, etc.

If you're unhappy with the way a business chooses to run its operation - DON'T GO THERE!!!

There are other reputable mechanics and shops in the area that will be happy to earn your business - DON'T POST A THREAD ON HERE just because you feel they did you wrong.

We're all friends here for the most part, let's try and keep the posts friendly as well.

We have a long season ahead of shows, cruising and racing, we don't need all the high school drama.

Personally I am new to the area and the scene. But because of that, I like that people are willing to post up threads about places/people/situations that were wrong for them. Let ME draw my own conclusions. If someone feels they were screwed over in some way, or does not like how a business is operating, I would like to hear about it. That is the main reason I am on the internet reading these posts.

Isn't it irresponsible to NOT post if someone/some place screwed up, screwed you, screwed someone you know, etc?

On the flip side, I like reading good posts. People giving respect where respect is due. If everyone is honest, I'm happy...

I would have to agree. I'm in the same boat. I would not only like to see the negitive but the positive as well. Not really sure about of people feel about name dropping, so I'll just say, I've had good business with some of the local shops in my area.

I'd have to agree, but when you get bad service or you get screwed, its not a bad idea to let everyone else know so they do not fall into the same boat... but there is a hell of alot of drama on here that we dont need.

If someone flat out screwed me over, I would feel absolutely obligated to let people know of the situation. Drama or no drama, that is what friends are for! Just like Everett Washington police. They are jerks. Now you know!

I would say for the most part people that post here give useful information. There have been some bad apples in the past but things have been really slow on this forum for awhile. When people ask for shop recomendations there are always plenty of people willing to tell you who their favorite shop is. There are lots of good shops in the NW to pick from that offer great service.

I think that the posts about how people are treated at the various shops is needed because if no one says anything other people will get screwed

To those that have a problem distinguishing the difference.....

Informing people about an experience (bad or good) you yourself, or someone you know had with a company is one thing. Leading off with embellished/exaggerated details, regurgitating unfounded hearsay and all out slander of a companies reputation is another.....regardless what company is the topic of conversation!

That kind of thing will not be tolerated here and offenders will be dealt with accordingly!

There’s a fine line between informing others of a bad experience you’ve had and an all out smear campaign, so just ensure when you’re explaining your situation that you’re on the former side of that line and not the latter.

That is probably the most prudent (and least expensive) option.

If the company you attacked recently decided to take you to court for libel, could you prove that what you said was fact? Your righteous indignation is perhaps admirable, but if I were in your shoes I would make sure I kept my insurance paid up. Assuming you have a policy to cover this. I would .
