is the v6 5 speed a t-5? if not can I put a t-5 in it?

yes but its a weaker version of the v8 model

I always heard it was the same in both cars. How would you be able to tell them apart then if they have a weaker version? All it says on it is T5.

I think he ment its weaker when hooked up to a bigger engine. Either way there weak.

identification tag is the only way to tell.. there is a different torque rating for the
v8 compared to the v6.. here are the specs.....

v6- 265 torque rating
standard v8- 300 torque rating
cobra, aftermarket 330 torque
there is a difference.. you can say i have done my homework..

So then, how do you rebuild your v6 T5 tranny to the stronger 300 torque rating?
would any transmission shop be able to do this affordably?
