I have a lead with a OEM vehicle manufacturer that is willing to help me (us). I'm thinking I will have to buy at least 100 units.

I need from you guys:

1. put your hand up if you're interested
2. how much you're willing to pay
3. the dimensions on the female nuts for each end

I have to create a rough sketch for them, but I'm no engineer. Is there anyone in here in mechanical engineering that could help me out?

Thanks guys

If you can get me the material type and wall thickness, and whether you want a single or double flared end, I can draw it up for you. I'll need the information on the nuts too, because I'll add them in and show it as a straight assembly using Pro/Engineer. If they need it in another format I might be able to help, just need to know.

you're the man...I'll see what info I can get. What's the difference between a single or double flared end?

I can tell you right now i will buy it! I hate my EGR and have had problems with it for years. I made one out of copper that worked for a while but just recently cracked and broke. So now im leakin like a siv. Im IN!:hail2:

Can anyone grab the dimensions on the tube? approximate length we would require on the tube, and the thread size on the male ends (header and EGR, I assume they are the same)?

I would do it now, but I won't be able to go out to see my car until the weekend

All I know is that the size of those threads is metric, nothing standard. In order to use some natural gas flexible SS tubing, I had a metal shop cut off and weld on new standard sized bungs for $20.

This is the best shot I got, you can't see the bungs, but you can see the material of the tube.

That's before I ever started her up. Its holding just fine 4,000 miles later, just discolored from the heat, that's all.

My stock tube is in three pieces right now, but I can get the flare info off of that. Just haven't had a chance to go grab it and look. A single flare means that the tube comes straight out at the flare point, and a double flare actually folds the material over itself to make it double wall thickness at the flare.
