Well I got my car going today and thought I would give the old tires one more burn b4 I replaced them :nonono: In the burout I heard a strange noise (sort of a clunk) I shoved the clutch pulled it out of gear (2nd gear) and it wouldn't go back into gear (any gear) It smells and I'm thinking it's the clutch but I'm no expert

What do you guys think?

I think the pedal was a bit softer and I can still smell that burnt smell inside the car today

Are you driving it?

If so the cable just got binded up and smoked it alittle, you should consider replacing it soon anyways

If not and it still smells and wont go into gear, it isnt drivable and you shouldnt try. Start looking into fixing it no matter what.

Now, if for some reason it feels normal and isnt free revving (slipping) I would still think about replacing it.

Clutch Gone!

You were burning out in second gear?
Yes

I thought the clutch was starting to go last year and there is no question now as I had it towed to the local Ford shop today and they confirmed it. I ordered a king cobra clutch, I hope it's decent. I did a bit of research but I was pressed for time and since it's priced right and I'm several years from supercharging I thought it should be ok.

The car wasn't drivable at all
Thanks for the advice
