Turtle Wax Ice - Pics inside - LOTS

Well I know its kind of an old thread but I used it today for fun and the results where pretty good. Car is an 01 with almost 80K on the odometer.

Step 1 - Wash with dish soap to remove all old wax
Step 2 - Clay the car with Meguiers Clay
Step 3 - Sonus Swirl Remover put on with porter cable at 5
Step 4 - Meguiers Gold Class paste wax by hand
Step 5 - Turtle Wax Ice Polish

It is a good polish but will not protect the car like a wax. I normally use all Sonus products but went with the Meguiers because it was one step instead of 3. What can I say I am lazy :)

Anyway tons of pics sorry.

AWSOME. Where'd you get your gear selector handle?

UPR, its the shift knob and OD button relocator. The OD reloactor is supposed to go on the other way facing the front of the car but I hated how the OD letter where the wrong way to the people in the car so I pulled out the wire completely and ran it through the front instead of the rear.

Looks great imo, also have them in black too.

cool, i see mustangtuning has the ball itslef - no OD relocator. Tho i dunno why you want to relocate it, on my car it's on the selector plate - it'd looks stupid non functional

I've never seen a GT badge like that before. Stang looks good. I'm gonna wax mine tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to it whereas I usually dred it. I'm slow and it takes me about 5-6 hours to do.

They are the badges from a 1965 Mustang GT

You used Ice after Meg's paste wax? I thought the polishing effect of Ice, though minimal, would take off a layer of wax.

Yeah I know, normally I use the sonus line in the order you are supposed to, but here I was kinda playing around and wanted to see how well the ice worked so I put it on last.

that's awesome

any plans on springs?

Possibly, it honestly for some reason to me it doesnt look that high in person. Its not nearly as noticable than my last two mustangs (both coupes). Dont know if being a vert has anything to do with it.

What brand/model camera are you using? The photo quality is incredible.

Panasonic DMC-FZ7. Its a good camera, certainly not the best in the world but it works for me. 12X zoom and 6 mega pixel

wtf crappy polish over a good wax? kinda going backwards.......

shouldve went with a carnuba to give it depth on top of the meggy's. my buddy started using zymol on top of a full days work of pc, poly seal, nattys blue. he applies it very sparingly and the shine, sharpness and depth are amazing on black, zero haze, zero swirls. he uses zymol every two weeks during upkeep.
