Just got tint

Got my windows tinted, the usual 20% on the back and small side windows,
35% on the drivers and pasenger window, looks really blacked out as my
interior is dark charcoal anyway. But on the back window he only tinted up to the
teflon dots at the top and stopped short. Then he put a black vinyl strip on the
outside. This avoids getting air bubbles or peeling off in that area.
At first I wasnt sure I liked it but know I definatly do.

We have 50/30/20 on ours, but it's about 6 years old and needs to be retinted. Seems GA will only do 30/30/30

btw, I have a roll of black vinyl, I was going to have them do it inside instead of out

heres another.... its hard to see the vinyl, its looks like semi-gloss, really blends in. No one would notice it unless you told them first. I should have got a closer shot.

The tint will look alot darker when it is in the shade or its overcast outside. When there is not much light going through the windshield or side windows it will look pitch black.

Just be careful on the vinyl strip on the outside. I had mine on the car for quite a while (5 years) with no tint underneath and it eventually started peeling and I had to replace it when the tint was redone. I elected not to get the vinyl strip this time. It does look good though! Just keep in mind it won't last as long as the tint probably.

Your supposed to do the vinyl strip on the inside, thats what I had on my old Cobra & it worked great. You couldnt even tell that it was there because I had the limo tint in the back. I dont know why they would do it on the outside??? As far as not doing the vinyl, I wouldnt recommend it because without it, it bubbles up bad & makes it look crappy. i havent done tint on the Mach yet, but if I do, I think Im just gonna get a mild tint all the way around, except the windsheild, because I want it to match........ BTW, the car looks good, i love that color
