I put Nitto drag radials on the back of my car and I was wondering if I would have problems in the rain if I drive normally (like a grandma). I know these drag radials are d.o.t. approved and I was wondering if I was going to slide like crazy if I drove like normal (not spirited).

i had Nittos DRs for a while but hated them....the sidewall flex just pissed me off in the corners...got myself some regular 555's.

I live in so cal also so i know how the ran works lol...its been the dryest season to date.

...if i am correct you live in the la puente, diamond bar life plaza area dont you?

haha just because I'm asian, you think I live near Life Plaza? Well, I've been there to take Cue photos and all with my girlfriends.

I live right at Redondo Beach, about 5 minutes away from the water.

Yes, any DR will be Horriable in the rain. Even the Nitto 555s are skiddish in the rain.

....Get some Pilot sports....DR's suck

Once again you post extremely useful info

I'm thinkin if she has drag radials she isnt looking for corner carving performance, and to say DR's suck makes no sense. How does extremely good dry traction with street driveability suck?

BTW, I have BFG KDW II's and they are a badass tire, but next time will be going with a drag radial simply because these cost just as much as a DR

HeHe...well i had to try :D

...i F'ing LOVE Diamond Plaza/life plaza. I am always there Drinking boba and inside A.I. playing DDR, Wangon Midnight and Initial D. Cue is Hilarious because all the Asian guys take there little Cute asian G/F's there to take pic :rlaugh:

...But Life plaza is funny because at night it looks like Asian Las Vegas!!! As you see alot of exotics in the parking lot there on a friday/saturday night. High End BMWs, NSX's, Skylines, Drifter 240 Crews, Porsche's and the list goes on.

...i didnt mean to sound rude when i said you lived in that area, i ust have seen pics of you car and some of them look like they are from that area...put that together with the fact you are asian and Life Plaza Comes to mind :nice:

i think there are tires out there that can give most of the grip from the dig like DRs and not comprimise side wall flex so you can take turns too. the PS2 does this well, So does the new Falken RA

yeah i do see lots of asian guys taking out their girlfriends at Cue. I was one of them too with my ex-husband taking me there :) I'm pretty anti-asian though to a certain extent so I don't find myself much at life plaza. I hate seeing rice cars.

I love drag racing :D so that's one good reason to have DR's, but I mainly bought it for aggressive HUGE looks. I love the super excellent dry traction though!

Actually, I have the Nitto Drag Radials and I think they are pretty decent in the rain. They actually hook better in "light" rain than my old street tires did on dry pavement! So no, they don't suck! But if you want the grippiest DR out there, get the MT ET streets!:nice:
