Does anyone have problems using Nitto 555R drag radials in the rain?

I live in WA state where it rains all the time and I have had my 315 nitto d/r's on for over 2 years and 25,000 miles. They're great tires. I love them. Dont hook too good in the cold though.

I even drove in the snow with them, I just put some weight in the back of the stang. lol No complaints in the rain, but I try not to speed too much in the rain.

Actually, I have the Nitto Drag Radials and I think they are pretty decent in the rain. They actually hook better in "light" rain than my old street tires did on dry pavement! So no, they don't suck! But if you want the grippiest DR out there, get the MT ET streets!:nice:

I'm glad to hear that you guys can drive in the winter weather with the DR's. I was not wanting to buy more tires just for the rain and then pay again just to hook the DR's back on.

i never usually see rice there...mostly high end japanese and german cars there.

I always see Honda Civics with metal wings, fart can exhausts, stickers, unpainted body kits, etc. I guess I just go there on days when asians drive bad cars lol.

I CAN'T STAND RICE VEHICLES! It makes my blood boil.

haha just because I'm asian, you think I live near Life Plaza? Well, I've been there to take Cue photos and all with my girlfriends.

I live right at Redondo Beach, about 5 minutes away from the water.

Hey girl... I lived in Lawndale for many years and other places in southern Orange county.

Look this is what I'm going to do... Right now I have my Stock Pony wheels with GoodYear Eagle F1 GS-D3 super hot street tires. But I'm going to buy a set of FR-500 wheels, 9" front and 10.5 rears. And then I'm going to put some decent tires on the front and some Mickey Thompson ET Street/Drag Radials on the rear. I think they are 315/35/17. Then swap them out as needed. There are "wheel dollies" for easy wheel swapping.... since you're a girl and all... :D :p
