What all is needed for a radiator swap?

I am ordering a new aluminum radiator friday, and I want to make sure I get everything I need. I have recently changed my pump, hoses, & t-stat. Im going to try and save the fluid, but Ill have a hose on hand just incase. Anything else Ill need? Besides the radiator. lol

You guys never put a bucket under the radiator and catch the fluid? I mean its not even 6 months old. lol

And I might just do the distilled water thing. Maybe Ill take a 5 gal jug of Kentwood water from work and use that.

Actually you are right, I will not keep the fluid, I dont want any of that crap from my old radiator getting in my new one. Maybe if i was changing hoses or something.

You just need the radiator
very easy to remove, i removed mine when installing HCI

btw why are you replacing radiator?
I havent ran my new setup much but even with HCI im staying cool

My car gets up to 250* in like a minute when I turn on the A/C. Ive changed everything except the radiator. So its the last thing. Im ordering it friday and I should have the $$ for the intake in a month or so.

Eric, if it's not a direct fit, you'll want something to mount the fan (no, do NOT use the pull through ties). And you might need to trim the shroud a bit (Dremel helps).

Yea, it comes on. Im want to wire it to a switch too. And it does not matter if Im going 70 MPH. it will get hot when the A/C comes on. It should not get hot at that speed unless something in the rad is fugged. Which Im guessing.

But +1 on not needing anything but the radiator and new coolant.

Got a new-ish cap? It's a great idea to replace them every so often so that they hold the right amount of pressure the system was designed to run.

Yea, I changed my cap not long ago. Plus the rad comes with one.

And I cant believe I almost forgot that I would need ATLEAST a case of beer.
