So i really am interested in the roush side exhaust for my 2004 mustang gt. Of course that would include the roush stage 3 body kit :)

Are there any downfalls to getting this exhaust kit? Sound to loud or smog or heat or something?

I have heard things like it is so loud you can not talk in the car and stuff, or there is so much smog it is terrible. And such things. I need to know as i am going to order a kit and i need to know if i should order this or like a magnaflow kit?

p.s. does anyone know of a sound clip for the enhanced sound roush side exhaust?

IMO the actual roush setup sounds like crap, especially the "enhanced flow". anyone who spends 800$+ for their craptastic uber-restrictive catback is out of their mind.

i have spintech 333SCS mufflers in a roush-inspired side exit configuration. any muffler shop can weld a configuration that flows better than roush's by making a few mandrel bends. at first it sounded awesome with the stock H-pipe. wasnt too loud but had a nice old-school musclecar tone, and you didnt smell it in the cockpit.

then i went to a catless x-pipe and while its loud as ****, its not the tone i was looking for, but im too lazy to swap it out for a catless H. however you get a whif every once in a while of the exhaust, but IMO i love that smell so it doesnt bother me at all. 3 smells in life i dont complain about: Fuel, Burning Rubber and :taco:.

there are many options for you when it comes to a roush-style side exit exhaust setup. you just need to find what tone you are going for and what muffler works in certain situations (in this situation you need a muffler where the inlet and outlet are on the same side of the muffler) and get a shop to build you a catback.
