hey guys i got one of these on my car i have for a while...i really like the way they loook... does anyone use this or also worry about it catching on fire?i mean if thecar backfires or somthing or whatever.... seems liek it could easily catchand melt an expensive hood..

You talking about the triangle foam air cleaners? I've heard about them catching on fire, mostly because it is oiled foam, and it soaks up the gas fumes, and it sits so close to the air horn. Thus making one small, firey backfire even worse than normal.

Oh, those... Since he didn't specify I assumed he was referring to the oval and round elite and signature series chrome air cleaners with the regular paper elements.
