UDP's killed my car

too bad i didnt get ere earlier. i will admit i did the same thing when installing my UDP's. Not to mention the udp have nothing to do with why you and me screwed up the install, but to fix it all you need to do is retap the crank bolt hole. ill admit that the reason is i didnt understand or read the directions before using the pulley puller, but oh well, its easily fixable. ive had my UDP's on for 12,000 miles, mach 1000, aftermarket head unit, glow gauges, radar, ipod plugged in..ect ect.. no problems, anyways, i know this is prob all totoal bs to begin with, so whatever

UPD does not affect alternator function. The reason is that the new pulley in the UDP kit supplied for the alternator actually speeds the alt back up to stock speed.

I dont think the UDP's had anything to do with the death of your car..

I think it was operator/installer error.

Not to be mean..... but...

This thread - Somehow made me think about 16y/o member we have here, who shall remain nameless.. because I think we gotten trouble for picking on him too much once

I'm sorry to hear that original poster..

Steeda provides you w/ two bolts, one extra long to help pull the pulley onto the crank, the other is for torquing, the long bolt have a large sticker on it that says DO NOT TIGHTEN CRANK PULLEY WITH THIS BOLT, READ INSTRUCTIONS. Kinda sounds like people who mess up their crank threads use the long bolt:shrug:
But i agree, timing is weird on our cars
