a few exhaust questions

midpipe pipe is easy.

On a stockish 96-98 GT it shouldnt be too loud with us pushing about 190-200HP, but the car does get alot slower without the cats and thats one of the major let downs. People say you gain the power in the upper rpms but unless you have a PI swap than gaining power in the upper rpm's is BS. You must remeber our cars fall on there face at high rpm's so down low is pretty much all we have and its already a slow car to begin with.


For sound its worth it.

No you wouldn't because you're talking welding every time you want to switch.

Or he could have some flanges welded onto the mid pipe, the cut out section of the mid pipe and some cats. Then he could just switch from offroad to catted.

Thats what i was thinking i could try to do but i don't know how hard it would be to do that!@!





ohh and setting of the car alarms it only happens when i park right next to a sensitive car and rev before i get out like i always do...

ok so let me get this you are saying i won't feel any faster but slower because of our engines?? and i have an auto is that going tp make it worse??

sound is what i really want right now i don't need to really show of the car its already faster than the rest of my friends... the only 1 i have trouble with is a 72 nova with some mods like cams and exhaust

Atleast on my car its alot slower and i have a 5 speed. If i floor it than i get a nice loud MAC tone and sound, but my speedo is barely moving. If i put the cats back on than im faster.

Sounds like but i dont know.

if my car is TOO loud would i be able to add some high flow cats latter on down the road, or do i have to buy a new mid pipe??
