Good Sounding Quiet Exhaust

I am going to be buying a 1991 LX Hatch from a friend of mine and I need to buy a mid pipe and a cat back for it but I need something that is somewhat quiet but sounds good and that isnt real exspensive because I am living with my parents and there is a stupid cop at the end of the street that pretty much hates me.

Anyone ever tried this setup, pypes offroad x with a custom cat back with borla pro xs series mufflers? I hear that their pretty quiet?

go with the borlas if you want quiet. i had them on my car for 10 seconds before putting them back in the box, and sending them back to summit, they were to quiet for me.

What about an H-pipe and 3 chamber flows? How loud is that setup? I'd be curioius of the sound, especially w/ long tubes......

I've got an xpipe and 40series flowmasters on mine.... it sounds good and its not too loud...

Isn't a good sounding quiet exhaust an oxymoron? Mine is not quiet, but when I come into my neighborhood in second or third gear at 15 mph with my foot on the brake, no one complains. It helps that the next door neighbor has a 06 gt with a catback, the one across the corner has a blown bullett with a lot of work, and yet another one has a mach one. And across the street is an R1 owner. On the other side of my townhouse, there is a vette that shows up occasionally. I love it here.

Im not really sure, I have a ranger with 2 12s inch subs in the back seat and one day i drove by and their happen to be a song with a lot of bass playing even though it wasnt that loud he starts yellin at me to turn it down. Hes even complained to me about driving my tmaxx rc truck in the street because its too loud. So now i turn my radio pretty much all the way down everytime i drive by just so he dosnt give me crap. Since im getting a stang i want something quiet but sounds good just so he wont bother me anymore, since he already stares at me everytime i drive by and hes outside.

So any suggestions or sound clips on cat backs would be appreciated cause i think im for sure going with the pypes offroad x pipe.

dyno max super turbos....quiet with tail pipes....still a little mellow with dumps...(what i have) quite if im just driving..if i get on it some it makes some noise...dont sound bad to me this is with stock H..im thinking about a carless H with the turbos and wonder how they will sound then.

keep the stock exhaust and remove the cats if you are in an emission free state

it dosnt have the stock exhaust, all he has on it is a off road h pipe but its broken at the h, its split apart.

So I need a mid pipe and a cat back
