Anyone have experience with DezRacing????

Ok, well in about 2-3 months, i am going to be purchasing a supercharger kit...i am set on buying a p1sc procharger kit with 3 core intercooler...also gauges, powerpipe, and throttle body/plenum....My question to ya'll is, has anyone had experience with dezracing and have you had any complaints or was the service/product really good?? B/c if i'm going to drop 6k, i want to make sure it's with a reputable company...

While they seem very knowledgeable, i would advise going elsewhere. I contacted Mike over there about a month ago, looking for price quotes on a Procharger just like yourself. If you look at their site, i think they advertise kits for 4300 bucks. I asked other questions about upgrades and finally settled on their base kit. So then i asked the question "ok how much for the entire kit installed". I must have waited a good 2 minutes while he screwed me over the phone, punching numbers for an install price. You would think that after doing a base kit install on a normal GT, you would just come out with a quick total price over the phone. Oh no. Instead, he was punching numbers into the calculator........ He quoted me at seven THOUSAND total, kit + install. All I wanted was to drive in with my car and have it come out a day or so later. The guy added $2700 to the final price for install and tune. What a joke

There is a shop located in Milford, MA called CE Racing that work on 90% Mustangs. I had my gears done there in under 2 hours. They install Vortech kits, but I am not sure for how much.

Also, im not saying dont go to dezracing, but Im warning you about getting porked for $2700 for install charges..... thats like $250 an hour if my math is right

ask showstopper what he thinks of Mike Dez , he tuned showstopper's car to like 440 hp if i am not mistaken also Dez is a shop you have to walk into not ask stuff over the phone

Mike has done nothing but good for my car over the last 3 years. I purchased a custom P1-2 kit for a very competitive price and had him tune my car as well. we made 430rwhp almost 3 years ago when not alot of guys were doing that. He doesn't charge 2700 labor for a supercharger install as stated above and I think its like in the $500 area for chip and tune. he is going to be tuning the forged motor I just had built there this Tuesday with the same blower. plain and simple nobody else touches my car but the guys there.. the 4.6 knowledge in his shop is the best in the area by far. if your a local guy all I can say is stop in there and talk to him in person and be realistic about your goals and what you want to spend. Just another FYI the website is not run by Mike personally...Jim takes care of that so if you want to speak with Mike personally then call the shop or stop by.

when going blown you gotta look at the big picture.. its not just the $4k+ kit but the supporting stuff you need to keep it running safe that adds up to big money. I got my kit when blowers were in the $3500 range and I still spent damn close to $8k to get the car safe and reliable.. the fuel side gets very expensive as does the MAF's and other upgrades to the charger like bypasses and intercoolers.

1st off, i wouldn't be getting my stuff installed there...i live in alabama...i would be getting it drop shipped...
2nd off, i got a price quote of 4600 for the supercharger kit, and they are making a quote for other things i asked to add in the kit...
so far i like what they have to say...anybody else have exp. with them?

Im in MA I called Dez (im located in Milton hes in Seekonk) just for a price on a dyno run. They seem very professional and I have a lot of people come by my shop who have nothing to say but good things about Dez.

$100 for 3 dyno pulls...not bad.

I have been looking into superchargers for a while now and I have been told by places that sell prochargers and vortechs that for everey 7 prochargers sent back they get 1 vortech. Plus, I have sean alot of threads on this site and others of people having issues with them. Superchargers online has a good test of a procharger against a vortech v2 sq trim and it completely lopsided in favor of the vortech. go to the site and read it for yourself.

if you haven't had a procharger don't speak out about them... don't believe everything you read either because Vortech is not the be all end all and they have been having problems lately with breakages too. I have seen a few Vortechs dyno at the shop with less than impressive results while my car and quite a few others have been able to put down some damn good stock 4.6 numbers with our Prochargers.

to the original poster did Mike recommend a -2 blower or just the standard P1SC? I know from being around the shop all the time and my car being the first -2 modular that he usually recommends it to anyone looking to go beyond 400rwhp. he has made nearly 600rwhp with this blower and my car will hopefully be very close to that number this coming week.

They have been awesome for me. I drive quite a way to have them work on my car. Mike is great and he has good people working with him too. Three thumbs up from me. He uses SCT tuning and a dynojet, which is perfect.

They have also answered the phone whenever I call, and given me prices for all the work I've had done up front. When it took longer than expected I still paid the quoted price.

I've had my ProCharger for years and have never had a problem with the head unit, intercooler, or any of the plumbing. EVER. If you read that article from Superchargersonline, I believe the document was created BY Vortech - you honestly think they are going to talk down about their product?

MPH builds some nice 2v cars but they don't have anything procharger... all their cars are vortech, paxton, or KB. the poster was asking about Procharger specifically. I highly doubt anyone in this area knows more about Procharged mustangs than Dez.

I look at it this way.. the only time you will see something posted about a product on these sites is if it's negative or broke. for those posters there are so many more with good experiences that just don't need to post to justify that. Look at what Procharger has accomplised in drag racing over the last 5 years.. champions in nearly all of the classes of ford racing.. Vortech hasn't even had a blower to support some of the top classes until very recently and its not competitive at that. Kinda tells you who the innovators are right now IMO. it all comes down to personal preference though and your freedom to choose whatever you want.

thats a good point and i didnt know that about procharger. and it does really come down to personell preference.
