I wanted to know if any of you guys had a 2000 Cobra R hood. And if so, where did you get it from? Post pics!! I'm interested in a cirvini's one...but i really want one that is an active heat extractor (if at all possible).

Anyone have links?

Anyone know how well they fit up with a 2004 Cobra Front bumper??

Cant help you on there "where to buy" part, as I bought mine from a vendor @ the Fun Ford Weekend event....and he bought it off of some guy supposedly. So who knows where it came from...but it needed a decend amount of work. Payed $160 for it :nice: And it didnt come functional...but we made it functional.

you have any screening on the underside of those cut outs? i'd be worried about water getting down there or something. I was kinda looking for a Cobra R hood that MAYBE had the same heat extractor cut-out that my Steeda Q400 hood currently has.

In the bottom right of the hood (driver's side) you can see the cutout for the heat extraction

Well lets say it rains like a mad man.....I get just a little water under the hood. And its ONLY from the actual tiny water drops from a splash that manage to get throw the slit. I made the slit so that water will run off the edges before it gets high enough to run into the slit. Washing the car only results in a few drops of water.
Been like that for over 10,000 miles now :).

00R hood looks amazing....I get ALOT of complements on it. It really looks alot better in person...pics dont do it justice. :nice:

Gary (636RWHP KB 2.6 guy) should know for sure...he has a friend that has an 00R hood on his 03/04 cobra.

I MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN THE CARBOn fiber 4 in. cowl. depends if it fits my car which i think it will. also the condition and brand. let me know if you you want to get rid of it for a good price.

 It doesn't look bad at all. The "termi" is the same ass body as the 00 Cobra R how could a hood DESIGNED for that body "throw the lines way off" ???

I think it would look 3x as good from the side

the complete body lines are not the same. The 2000 Cobra R has extremely agressive bodylines. It is shown through the extended front lip and extreme height of the rear wing. Also add into account the raised hood. The 03 and 04 Cobra has neither of these. It has a low lying front bumper with no lowered lip, the hood it essenetially low lying even lower than that of the GT (with a scoop) and a wing that is barely 1inch of the trunk.

They are two very different standing looks, granted they come from the same base, but with the bumper and wing extensions given to the 00 Cobra you have to cars with very different lines.
